Pears in cinnamon-anise syrup with cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 pears, peeled, halved and cores removed
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tube cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 star anise

Preparation:

  1. Combine the pears, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and star anise in a heatproof bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 8 minutes.

    Cook pears until soft.
  2. Meanwhile, beat the cream, powdered sugar and ground cinnamon with a mixer on high speed until fluffy and thick.

    Serve pears with cinnamon cream and syrup.
