Nachos "Chili Dog" topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 450 g of ground beef
- 2 sausages, cut into 1cm thick pieces.
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 can (220 g) of tomato sauce
- 1 bag of corn tortilla chips
- 1 package (280 g) of grated yellow cheddar
- Sour cream, for serving
- Salsa, for filing
- 2 green onions, chopped
Preparation:
- Heat a medium frying pan over high heat. Add the vegetable oil, then the ground beef, and begin frying and crumbling the meat with a wooden spoon for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then add the sliced sausages and continue frying for another 3 minutes. Add the onion and salt to taste, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and cumin. Cook for another 3-5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to grill mode.
- Place corn chips on a baking sheet or casserole. Top with a chili dog. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Grill the cheese under a hot broiler for 2 minutes, until melted and bubbly. Drizzle with sour cream, salsa, and finely chopped green onions.
