Ingredients:
- 2 Fresno peppers, seeded and chopped, plus 2 seeded Fresno peppers, halved
- 3 tbsp. l. grenadine
- 1.5 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
- 3/4 tbsp. tequila blanco
- 1/4 tbsp. Triple Sec liqueur
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons light agave syrup
- 2 tbsp. l. orange decorative sugar
- 2 tbsp red decorative sugar
- 2 tablespoons of yellow decorative sugar
Preparation:
- Combine chopped peppercorns, grenadine, and 1/4 cup cold water in a blender and blend until smooth. Add 3/4 cup cold water and blend. Then pour into an ice cube tray and freeze for about 2 hours.
- In a pitcher, combine orange juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup. Add the pepper halves and crush them lightly with a wooden spoon. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Mix in a small bowl before serving. decorative sugarWet the rims of 4 short, wide glasses with water and dip them in sugar to create a rim. Fill the glasses with peppered ice cubes and strain the margarita into them.
