Quesadilla with banana and chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 2 wheat tortillas, 25 cm in diameter.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 medium banana, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, plus extra for topping
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream, optional
  • Caramel dolce de leche sauce, as desired

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Spray the grill grates with cooking spray.
  2. Brush 1 side of a tortilla with a little melted butter. Place the tortilla on the grill, buttered side down. Arrange the banana slices on the tortilla and evenly scatter the chocolate chips on top. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Place the remaining tortilla on top of the bananas. Brush with butter and sprinkle with a little brown sugar.
  3. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, until chocolate is melted and bananas are soft.
  4. Cut into triangles and serve with ice cream and caramel sauce, if desired. Serve immediately.
