Fried dumplings with chicken topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- Leftover chicken meat (prepared according to the recipe "Chicken teriyaki»)
- 3 stalks green onions, left over from recipe Chicken Teriyaki (1 raw, 2 grilled)
- 12 round wonton dough sheets
- 1 tbsp. l. canola oil
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
Preparation:
- Cut the chicken into small pieces. Chop 2 grilled green onions and mix them with the shredded chicken. Chop the raw green onions and reserve them for garnish.
Place the dough sheet on a clean work surface and place a teaspoon of chicken in the center. Dip your fingers in water and moisten the edges of the dough. Fold the dough in half and pinch the edges, creating 3-4 folds. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- In a large nonstick skillet, heat canola oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the wontons in a single layer. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, then add 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Quickly cover the skillet and cook until the dough is tender, about 3 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Place the dumplings on a serving platter, sprinkle with the remaining sliced green onions and serve with the dipping sauce.
