Ingredients:
- 130 g (about 1 cup) premium wheat flour
- 130 g (about 1 cup) whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 3 beaten eggs
- 60 g melted unsalted butter
- 450 gr. sour milk or low-fat kefir at room temperature
- Herbal spray for waffle iron
Preparation:
- Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In a medium bowl, combine the two types of flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and melted butter, then add the sour milk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
- Scoop the recommended amount of batter and pour it into the waffle iron according to the instructions. Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown on both sides and begin to peel easily from the surface. Serve immediately or keep in a warm oven preheated to 90°C (194°F) until ready to serve.
