  • Pickled pearl onions
  • Marinated green beans
  • Jerky - dried beef
  • Fried bacon
  • Boiled shrimp
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Cheese cubes
  • Hard-boiled eggs, cut in half

Preparation:

  1. Bloody Mary mix:

In a large pitcher, combine tomato juice, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and 2 teaspoons each of salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Side dishes:

Place a few lemon and lime wedges in a bowl, and place a shallow dish with chili-lime dressing nearby. Arrange the garnishes in small bowls or glasses, and place a bowl or glass with wooden skewers or toothpicks nearby. Fill an ice bucket or bowl with ice.
  3. Innings:

Show guests how to rub a lemon or lime wedge along the rim of a glass, then dip the rim in chili-lime dressing to ensure it sticks. Fill the glass with ice, add 1 cup of Bloody Mary mix, and top with 2 oz of vodka or tequila of your choice. Stir well, then offer guests a choice of garnishes. Smaller pieces can be skewered.
