Baked broccoli with asiago cheese topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 8 cups broccoli florets (2-3 large heads)
- 5 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 4 large cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
- 2 large shallots, coarsely chopped
- 1/8 - 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup finely grated aged Asiago cheese
- Zest of 1 lemon (about 2 tsp)
Preparation:
- Place a baking sheet with sides in the oven and preheat to 220°C.
- In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, olive oil, garlic, shallot, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat. Transfer to a preheated baking sheet and spread in a single layer.
- Roast until the broccoli florets are golden brown at the tips, the stems are crisp-tender, and the shallots are caramelized, about 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Immediately sprinkle with Asiago cheese and lemon zest. Season with salt if needed. Transfer to a serving platter and serve.
