Rum Raisin Popcorn Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 12 cups of ready-made popcorn
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup light raisins
  • A pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar

Preparation:

  1. Combine corn syrup, butter, sugar, rum, and mini marshmallows in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and cook over medium heat, stirring, for 5 to 10 minutes, until thickened.

    Add the light-colored raisins and a pinch of salt. Remove the pan from the heat and fold in the popcorn using a rubber spatula.

    Grease your hands with butter and form popcorn balls, then roll the rum and raisin balls in powdered sugar.
