Vanilla-raspberry smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cups of sugar
  • 0.5 cups of water
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 0.5 cup apple juice or non-alcoholic cider
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of ice

Preparation:

  1. In a small saucepan, cover the sugar with water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes.
  2. Pour the cooled syrup into a blender. Add yogurt, raspberries, apple juice, vanilla, and ice. Blend until the mixture is smooth and thick. Pour into glasses and serve.
