Ingredients:
- 700 g of ground beef
- 4 slices of cheddar
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- Ketchup, mayonnaise and/or pickle slices, for assembly
Preparation:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of salt and black pepper. Form the meat mixture into eight 0.5 cm thick patties. Fold each cheese slice in quarters and place one slice on each of the four patties. Top with another patty and seal the cheese inside with the meat.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Serve the patties on buns with ketchup, mayonnaise, and/or pickles. Let sit for a few minutes and enjoy.
