Ingredients:
- 0.5 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- Vegetable oil for greasing
- Protein of 1 large egg
- 2 cups raw unsalted walnuts
- 2 cups raw unsalted pistachios
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp ground ginger
Preparation:
- Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons salt, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, and nutmeg in a small bowl; set aside.
- Preheat oven to 175°C and lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet with vegetable oil.
- Whisk the egg whites in a large bowl until foamy. Add the walnuts and pistachios. Sprinkle with the prepared spice mixture and toss to coat the nuts. Spread the nut mixture evenly on a baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15-20 minutes; let cool on the baking sheet. Add the cranberries to the nut mixture and toss to coat.
