Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons chopped almonds
- 450 g green beans, ends trimmed
- 2-3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
Preparation:
- Heat a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add the almonds, toss, and cook, stirring, until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Bring a saucepan of water to a boil and season generously with salt. Add the green beans and cook until crisp-tender, 5-6 minutes. Drain and toss the beans with butter and lemon zest, season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the beans to a serving platter. Sprinkle with almonds and serve.
