Hash browns with roast beef topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 450 g frozen grated potatoes for hash browns
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 8 thin slices of roast beef
- 8 thin slices of white cheese
- Half a small red onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Preparation:
- Heat a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil. Add frozen grated potatoes, 3/4 teaspoon salt, and some freshly ground black breadcrumbs.
- Smooth out the potatoes, cover, and cook, undisturbed, until browned on the bottom, 3-5 minutes. Stir a few times, cover, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium if the potatoes are browning too quickly. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, form the potatoes into 4 circles.
- Place 2 slices of roast beef on each potato slice, season lightly with salt and pepper. Top with 2 slices of cheese, then top with red onion. Cover and cook over medium heat until the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes; garnish with chives.
