Chocolate fondue with fruits

Ingredients:

  • 200 g of high-quality semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 tsp. grated orange zest
  • 0.5 tsp. instant coffee granules
  • 2 tbsp orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
  • For serving: pound cake, donuts, long-stemmed strawberries, bananas or pretzels

Preparation:

  1. Chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Add the cream, zest, coffee, and orange liqueur and stir constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  2. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot and serve hot with pound cake, donuts, strawberries, bananas, or pretzels.
