Blueberry sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups fresh blueberries, washed
  • 1 cup vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice

Preparation:

  1. In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the blueberries and vanilla extract. Add 1 cup of water and lemon juice and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the mixture begins to thicken.
  2. Remove from heat and strain through a fine sieve. Cool to room temperature, cover, and refrigerate.
    Exit: 1 tbsp.
